NT Labs Methylene Blue 100ml
NT Labs Methylene Blue A trusted remedy for fungal, bacterial and parasitic infections A classic aquarium treatment for bacterial, fungal and some external protozoan parasitic infections of fish, fry and eggs. Suitable for coldwater and tropical aquariums. When your fish need help, Methylene Blue is one of the most trusted names in the hobby — and NT Labs' formulation brings that reliability to your tank. It tackles bacterial, fungal and certain external protozoan parasite infections, and it's gentle enough to be used safely with delicate eggs and fry, making it a go-to for breeders and everyday keepers alike. When to reach for it Use Methylene Blue when you spot the tell-tale signs of trouble: fluffy, cotton-wool-like fungal growths; a grey, velvety film or excess mucus over the body; or bacterial damage such as red open wounds, ulcers, missing scales, rotting fins and eroded mouth tissue. It's most effective in a quarantine tank or treatment bath, but can also be added to the main aquarium, used to protect fish during transport, or dabbed undiluted onto wounds with a cotton bud. How to use it Work out your tank volume, shake the bottle well, then mix the required dose into a litre of aquarium water and add it slowly — roughly 10ml treats 90 litres. For a quick dip, use 2ml per litre of fresh dechlorinated water and immerse the fish for no more than 10 seconds. A dose can be repeated four days later if needed. Good to know Methylene Blue can harm live plants and shrimp if overdosed and will affect the beneficial bacteria in your biofilter, so remove carbon during treatment, keep filtration running, and follow up with a 25% water change afterwards. It will also stain skin, silicone and ornaments — so handle with care. Composition: Methylene Blue 2500mg/100ml. Available in 100ml.
