Varanasi Market was a retail market place in Bombay, now no longer in business. This model appears to be a Player level Grade #2 Radha Krishna Sharma sitar and sports a double gourd, elaborate pen & ink engravings, fancy tuning pegs that work well, a bottom tumba with a very nice "grape leaf" overlay, and a functional pickup. The strings are in good shape, and the frets are tight. Specs: Scale Length: 33.75" Total Length: 50" Second tumba is detachable and doe NOT fit in case Includes semi-hard leather case (note: a the top latch is broken) Shipping sitars is risky and expensive, therefore this item is for local pickup or local delivery within the DMV.
