Orthoplex SPM Pro

Orthoplex SPM Pro features Romega™, a specialised and bioavailable source of EPA and DHA bound to phospholipids containing LIPHISHIELDSPM. LIPHISHIELDSPM provides naturally sourced phospholipid-bound specialised pro-resolving mediators (SPMs) and is standardised to total levels of precursor pro-resolving mediators (PRMs), including 14-HDHA, 17-HDHA, and 18-HEPE. The sustainably certified Clupea harengus (Herring roe) used in this formula is wild-caught and sourced from the Arctic Ocean in Norway. It is a rich source of numerous phospholipids, including phosphatidylcholine. Also delivering triglyceride-bound EPA and DHA, the composition of lipids in SPM Pro has been specifically formulated to relieve inflammation. SPM Pro does actually contain the SPMs as well as better doses of the precursors than other brands we have used. The Metagenics and DFH contained the precursors of SPMs. Being in the phospholipid form, this product is highly bioavailable and is likely more active as an anti-inflammatory. With both omega-3 and phospholipids, it’s suitable for a phospholipid exchange program related to chemical and mould mitochondrial membrane restoration. This reduces the need for two products to one.
