Drava Field Coffee UPTIME 99.9 – Honduras Filter 250 g
Always on • no downtime • pager quiet. Uptime 99.9 is the office pot that never runs dry. A sweet, balanced Honduran filter coffee with full body and low acidity — the kind you can drink from 8 a.m. to the last deploy without your stomach filing a ticket. Field strength rating: IP67. Tasting notes Maple syrup, hazelnut, caramel. Classic, sweet, no surprises — which is exactly what you want on-call. Washed processing keeps it clean and clear; there is none of the fruity funk of a natural, so the fifth cup tastes like the first. Takes milk without disappearing and takes black without biting. The coffee Origin: Honduras — El Paraíso, Santa Bárbara, Lempira, Copán and Ocotepeque; Becamo Specialty Program cooperative, 1,300–2,067 m a.s.l. Variety: Catuai, Caturra, Lempira, IHCAFE 90, Bourbon Processing: washed Composition: 100% arabica, cupping score 82.00, current harvest Roast: medium-light (cinnamon roast) — 2/5 on the roaster's scale Profile: sweetness 4/5 · acidity 2/5 · body 4/5 · caffeine 4/5 Ingredients: 100% coffee, no additives Net weight: 250 g, whole bean Why Honduras, why washed Honduras is Central America's largest coffee producer and, for years, its most underrated: high-altitude smallholder farms across the western departments, shaded, hand-picked, and sold mostly into blends that never named the country. The Becamo Specialty Program changed that by paying a premium for separated, cupped lots from member cooperatives — which is where this coffee comes from. The five-variety mix is deliberate: Bourbon and Caturra bring the sweetness, Lempira and IHCAFE 90 the body and disease resistance that keeps the farms viable. Washed processing — pulped, fermented, rinsed, sun-dried — gives the clean, consistent cup a batch brewer needs, where a natural would turn muddy on the hot plate. How to brew Roasted for filter: batch brewer and Moccamaster first, then V60, Kalita, Chemex, AeroPress, French press, cold brew. Built for a full carafe, not a single precious cup. Batch brewer / Moccamaster (the intended use): 60 g per litre, medium grind, fresh cold water in the tank. Full 1.25 l carafe = 75 g. Turn the hot plate off after 40 minutes or decant into a thermos; it holds 3–4 hours that way. Pour-over (V60 / Kalita): 15 g to 250 g water, medium grind, 93–95 °C, 30 s bloom, total 2:45–3:15. Very forgiving of pour technique. Chemex: 30 g to 500 g, medium-coarse, 3:30–4:00. The thick filter suits this coffee — it comes out tea-clear and sweet. AeroPress: 16 g, medium-fine, 220 g at 92 °C, press at 1:30. French press: coarse, 1:15, 4 minutes, skim and pour. Cold brew: 1:8, coarse, 14–16 h in the fridge. Hazelnut and caramel carry through cold. Espresso: not recommended — too light a roast. For pressure brewing pick Payload, Blackout or Fireline. Caffeine and timing High caffeine (4/5) — a lighter roast keeps more of it than a dark one, and this is a strong lot. The point of Uptime is not the kick, it is the lack of a crash: low acidity and steady caffeine mean you can refill all day without the 3 p.m. slump or the sour stomach. If you want the same style with more punch for a road trip, Overland is the louder sibling; for a brighter, floral morning cup, First Light. Who it's for Dev teams, NOCs, anyone with a pager. The B2B pick: order by the case for the office kitchen. It is also the one we would put in a Peli 1510 for a field office or a site container — a case holds roughly 20 bags with room for the hand grinder, and keeps them dry and un-crushed. Roasted in Poland Drava Field Coffee is roasted to order by a specialty roastery in Kraków, in small batches, from beans graded above 80 points SCA. Packed in a one-way-valve bag with the roast date on the label. For best results use within 6 weeks of roasting. Storage Keep the bag sealed, away from light and heat — a cupboard, not the top of the fridge. The one-way valve lets CO₂ out and no air in, so the bag is the container. For an office, grind per pot rather than per bag; a cheap electric burr grinder next to the brewer is the single biggest upgrade to office coffee. Uptime vs. the rest of the line Uptime 99.9 — Honduras washed, maple and hazelnut, steady caffeine. The desk and night-shift filter. Overland — Brazil natural, caramel and cocoa, highest caffeine. The thermos and road-trip filter. First Light — Rwanda, bright and floral. The morning pour-over. Payload / Blackout / Fireline / Stand-To — espresso roasts for machines and moka pots. See the whole line: Drava Field Coffee. FAQ Is it ground? No — whole bean only, so it stays fresh. Ground coffee goes flat within minutes; for an office, grind per pot. Can we order in bulk? Yes. Contact us for case quantities and a B2B price; the roastery roasts to order, so lead time is a few days. Decaf? Not in this line. All seven are caffeinated. Roast date? Printed on the label. Orders are roasted to demand, so you receive a current batch, not shelf stock. What is IP67 on the bag? Our own field strength scale, not a certification — see below. IP67 is our field strength rating — a measure of kick, not an ingress protection certification. For protective cases that actually carry an IP67 rating, see our Peli range.
