"Brown Trout Strike" Original Oil Painting

Every time I drive past a river near my studio in Boone, North Carolina, and the water is running clear, I see these exact colors shifting through the different depths of the river. The deeper water runs a blue, almost turquoise color that gives way to complimentary golds and umbers in the sunlit shallows. Add a colorful brown trout to the scene and you've got all the makings of an exciting underwater trout painting.
