When the first light reaches the forest, the witch begins her work. She is young, but the magic in her is older than memory. It moves through her like something alive - through her long hair, through the spiders hidden among its strands, through the familiar curled against her shoulder, and into the strange ingredients she gathers beneath her hand. Below, skulls already turn within the spell. The witch does not fear them; life and death have always belonged to the same ancient language. At dawn, she speaks it with the fierce confidence of youth, unaware perhaps of how deeply magic remembers every bargain it makes. Designed by Marina Zimina.
