The collection comprises a crab claw found on the shore at Ballalyon Beach, Inisboffin, a sea urchin from Murvagh Beach, Mulranny, an auger shell from Elly Bay, Belmullet and a cockle shell from Old Head Beach, Louisburgh. All four are cast in solid bronze, to preserve the delicate texture and form of the original shells. Made to be carried, held or attached to a bag or set of keys, as an everyday reminder of our connection with the Atlantic Ocean. Often we then carry these small keepsakes home with us as reminders of a place that is special to us, a person or a moment in time.
