This beautiful Delft tile is an example of Dutch polychrome tile art from the early 17th century. This rare piece depicts a fantasy bird resting on a green field. Adorned with a rare version of the ox-head corner motif, the tile is close to 400 years old and has survived in excellent condition, with a beautiful glaze and very delicate restoration work.
