The Cosy Cabin in the Forest Christmas Stamp – Hand-Carved Lino Design

Deep in the woods after a heavy snowfall sits a little wooden cabin with the most beautiful decorative gables. The log fire is crackling, there's nowhere to go and nothing to do, except perhaps make a pot of warming soup, keep the fire burning and curl up with a good book. All around, the tall pines are heavy with snow and the air is fresh and clean. This design was a joy to sketch and then to lino cut. It's easy to work with, and if you'd like to ink the little cabin a touch darker, a tiny dauber is very useful. How I stamped it I used VersaFine Clair in Twilight, graduating out with a mix of VersaColor Cyan and Polar Blue for a frosty winter sky. Choose your stamp Each stamp is sold individually, so you can pick just the cabin or build your own collection. Alongside the Cosy Cabin there's a decorative gables corner stamp for dressing up the edges of a card or envelope, Merry Christmas and With Love sentiments inside a matching gable frame, folky birds and a range of patchwork stamps. The cabin also pairs beautifully with the Coal Tit on a Berries Branch stamp. Perfect for handmade Christmas cards, winter envelopes, gift tags, journals and festive wrapping.
