2025 Ceoltóirí

There is a lot of interest in Grenache in the wine world these days, and for good reason. Bright, fragrant red fruit aromas and a lighter palate structure make it an attractive option as a red, particularly in the warmer months. Grenache takes the lead in our new Ceoltóirí (“keel-toy-ree”) from the celebrated 2025 vintage. “one of the most delicious wines in the land” - Campbell Mattinson Inspired by our founder John Kirk’s love of the famous wines from Chateauneuf du Pape in the Southern Rhone, the Ceoltóirí (the Irish word for a band of musicians) is a blend of 6 of the 13 varieties that can make up those wines. The 2025 Ceoltóirí is comprised of Grenache (55%), Mourvedre (26%), Shiraz (7%) Counoise (6%), Cinsault (4%) and Roussanne (2%). “a beautiful light-bodied, fragrant red” - Huon Hooke 2025 was a wonderful vintage, with excellent late spring rains setting up the vines beautifully for the glorious warm summer. The 2025 Ceoltóirí spent an average of two weeks on skins, hand plunged twice daily. The fruit was destemmed, not crushed, to ensure plenty of whole berries in the ferments.
