Treasury of British Folklore by Dee Dee Chainey

A beautifully illustrated book with tales of mountains and rivers, pixies and fairy folk, witches and alchemy. Dee Dee Chainey explores how British culture has been shaped by the tales passed between generations, and by the land that we live on. As well as looking at customs, superstitions and legends from times gone by, this book lists the places where you can see folklore alive and well today, including The Whittlesea Straw Bear Festival in Cambridgeshire, the Abbots Bromley Horn Dance in Staffordshire, and wassailing cider orchards in Somerset..
