Kenya Thangathi
We’re back with a new single origin, this time from the central highlands of Kenya. It’s a washed processed lot, and lands with just the right amount of fruitiness, depth and acidity you want this time of year, if you know what I mean. It’s got a light almond note running through it, a kind of frangipane vibe with a gentle raspberry tartness. I mean, Mr.Kipling must be quaking in his boots right now, because this has the tasting notes of Bakewell’s finest written all over it. But this is coffee, not a pudding, you know that right? It’s got a little sweetness, some chocolatey heft but has the sort of brightness and lightness that means you’ll probably be wanting a second or third cup of it on your Saturday morning, rather than just the one. Origin: Kenya Region: Nyeri County Farm: Thangathi AB Process: Washed Varietals: SL28, SL34 and Riuru 11 Tasting Notes: Berries, Plum, Almond
