1980s Vintage Industrial Style Console or Hall Table – Chunky Natural Oak & Black Metal A fantastic 1980s vintage industrial-style console table, combining a beautifully chunky, thick-cut oak top with substantial black metal legs. The light oak top is the real star of this piece. It has been cut and finished to retain the natural character of the timber rather than being machined into a perfectly straight, uniform shape. The front edge has an organic, gently undulating profile, with natural variations, knots, grain movement and small imperfections deliberately retained. These features are part of the design, giving the table the wonderful character and individuality associated with reclaimed and naturally finished timber. The top is particularly impressive in its thickness, giving the table a lovely substantial quality. Against this, the thick black metal legs create a strong industrial contrast, while their simple angular design keeps the overall look clean and contemporary. At 130cm wide, it is an excellent size for a hallway or entranceway, providing plenty of space for a lamp, artwork, books, ceramics or decorative pieces without taking up too much floor space.
