Inspired by the olive branch that returned to Noah’s ark as a sign that life was beginning again, this handcrafted bronze menorah is designed to live beyond the holidays, staying with you all year round as a piece of sculptural art. Created by Cuban-Spanish artist Leslie Sardinias, this menorah brings together the three pillars of his work, Botanicals, Waters, and Atmospheres. The botanical element lives in the olive branch and its leaves. The atmosphere emerges when the candles are lit and the space transforms. And the sense of water appears in the branch itself, resting on the table like a small boat afloat at sea. Each bronze menorah is hand-cast in small batches at a local foundry in Colombia, using traditional casting techniques. The polished gold surface retains darker tones and subtle variations in its recesses, the mark of a hand finish that makes every piece one of a kind.
