Introducing the Percussion Plus 8" Bodhran The Percussion Plus 8" Bodhran is a genuine Irish frame drum, supplied with a traditional-style tipper. Combining classic design with rich, resonant sound, it is perfect for folk sessions, gigs, practice, and educational settings. Traditional playing methods The Bodhran is an Irish frame drum, historically thought to have evolved from the tambourine and widely popularised through the resurgence of traditional Irish music. It is traditionally played using the supplied lathe-turned wooden tipper, but can also be played with a brush stick or your bare hands for a variety of rhythmic styles. Quality construction A robust inner frame ensures a secure grip, allowing for precise control and consistent tone. The natural skin drumhead is evenly stretched for accurate sound production and long-lasting performance, making it a reliable choice for both beginners and experienced players.
