Simply Native Field No.01 - Samidori
"Possibly the best bowl we've tasted this year (we may be biased)." - the Simply Native team. Best for Usucha • Latte Extremely rich, roasty and nutty, with deep umami and a natural sweetness that lingers. A vivid, jewel-green colour in the bowl. A single-cultivar and single origin Samidori matcha from Simply Native Field No.1 in Wazuka, Kyoto, grown by Uejima Sourokuen. This is the field's very first harvest. Simply Native Field No.1 To mark ten years of Simply Native, we partnered with Uejima Noriyasu, one of Japan's most respected tea farmers, on a field of our own. The Samidori bushes were planted five years ago, and spring 2026 brought their first harvest. Uejima-san and his team tended, shaded, picked and processed every leaf. A first harvest from a young field happens only once, and supply is very limited. How to Drink it Usucha (Thin Tea) 2g (60ml) for a smooth, balanced cup. Also works beautifully as a comfort and nutty matcha latte.
