Candle Selene and Helios — Goddess of the Moon and God of the Sun

Inspired by Selene, goddess of the Moon, and Helios, god of the Sun, this sculptural candle represents two celestial powers whose journeys bring light, rhythm and order to the heavens in The Goddess and the Gods by Afra Dita Saga. In the book, Selene and Helios are divine siblings — children of the Titans Hyperion and Theia. Helios carries the light of the Sun across the heavens from east to west, while Selene illuminates the night with the pale light of the Moon. Together, their celestial journeys become part of the eternal rhythm of the world — the passage from day into night and from night into day. Selene and Helios also became part of the Afra Dita Saga video series on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Threads where their journeys through the heavens and the emerging rhythm of the celestial world were brought to life visually.
