Evert Taube and Cornelis Vreeswijk represent two generations of the Swedish ballad tradition. Taube made seafaring life, travel, and storytelling a central part of Sweden’s 20th-century musical heritage. Cornelis later carried the tradition forward with a more urban, satirical, and personal expression.The portraits therefore create a natural dialogue on the wall.
