Its texture may seem unusual at first, but its defining quality is its remarkably long season of wear. But this Cowichan sweater is more considered than you might expect. We didn’t want to leave it at “hand-knit.” We believe there is meaning in entrusting a person with the judgment of where to apply tension and where to ease off. Building the shape as the knitting progresses allows the shoulders to sit naturally and the garment to move with your arms. It has some weight, but feels lighter when worn because air is held within the knit. The front zip pull is made of deerskin. We’ve carefully considered the feel of a detail you touch every time you wear it. There are no bold patterns or obvious motifs.
