Every single pleat of that wide, structured smocking panel has been gathered and stitched entirely by hand. The cream diamond lattice smocking is framed above and below by a deep crimson red satin trim — a stroke of contrast so elegant it takes this dress from beautiful to breathtaking. Below the lattice, a trailing row of hand-embroidered red roses winds its way across the smocked band — each tiny bloom stitched one petal at a time, by hand.
