The TraumaSim Dehiscence Medium Silicone Wound is a high-fidelity, self-adhesive training aid designed to replicate a medically accurate wound dehiscence presentation for clinical and healthcare simulation. Manufactured from durable, life-like silicone, the wound features an open wound profile and detailed tissue presentation to support realistic training in wound assessment, post-operative complication recognition, dressing application, escalation and patient communication. Tapered edges allow the wound to blend smoothly onto a manikin or live role player, helping create a more convincing presentation during nursing education, clinical simulation, post-operative care training and wound management scenarios. The realistic dehiscence presentation can assist learners in recognising wound breakdown, healing complications and appropriate care considerations in a safe, repeatable training environment. All TraumaSim silicone wounds are self-adhesive, washable and reusable, making them suitable for repeated use in high-volume training environments. The Dehiscence Medium wound is available individually or as part of selected wound kits, including the TraumaSim Silicone Wound Kit – Clinical and Clinical Surgical Range.
