The MOTU AVB Switch makes it easy to build an AVB-compliant Ethernet network for real-time, low-latency, fully synchronized streaming of audio and video — with no IT expertise required. Its six 1-Gigabit ports connect to any AVB-compatible devices, including MOTU interfaces and other switches, using standard shielded CAT-5e or CAT-6 cabling over runs up to 100 metres.Built on the industry-standard IEEE 802.1 AVB protocols (gPTP, MVRP and MSRP), the switch supports automatic device discovery and intelligent network bandwidth management — just connect and work. A powerful network time base extends across the entire network for extremely accurate phase-locking and timing, letting you stream hundreds of channels of audio between interfaces and computers. Operational bandwidth covers 10/100/1-Gigabit, and the switch runs from a 12-18V DC supply.
