This listing is for a set of 15 True Bullnose® stair treads made with Newport Salt. Each tread is made to fit stairs which are at least 27″ wide and 10″ deep. This is a sale box set. An elegant but affordable alternative to a complete professional runner installation. J Mish puts it best: “Newport is a micro-weave plaid with the appearance of a small crosshatch design. This 100% wool hand loomed product is offered in four tweed colorations in neutral tones.” Here is how we do it: We start with this awesome 100% Wool carpet, cut it down to the correct tread size, seam the boarders and then permanently attach our True Bullnose® rigid edge. As shown in our Shop, the True Bullnose® stair tread is permanently attached to a rigid bullnose piece so that when installed it will stay nicely wrapped around your stair tread. Other manufacturers use combinations of tape or glue, and hope that your tread will stay wrapped around the end of your stair tread. Not these. True Bullnose® treads have a pressure sensitive material that keeps the tread in place and a strong, rigid bullnose edge that keeps the wrap-around in place. Why Wool? Due to the nature of textile production, both carpet color and binding color can vary from one dye lot to the next. Typically this variation is slight. We recommend placing a single order for all treads, including custom pieces, to ensure that they will all be produced from the same dye lot. Per our return policy, there is a 35% restocking fee for any returns. While we wish this was not necessary, our shop’s made to order nature makes it so.
