Champagne Siret Frère & Sœur: Réserve Perpétuelle

A richly-textured and layered style of Champagne, showcasing real depth of flavour from base wine stocks. From the attack, there is a decidedly creamy mouthfeel with a real textural sheen. Brighter, wet stone and lemon rind notes can be found from the younger wines, with more currant undertones from the older wines. As well as the tightly-coiled mid-palate, which suggests potential to age, there is a very fine and elegant mousse that lends approachability right now. There is also well-judged dosage that offsets the sheer fruit intensity on the mid-palate very nicely. (60-40% Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, 8 vintages from 2021 and back, 9 months in oak on lees).
