Dutch Antique Silver Awl with Screw Cover - Pendant - 3.5 inch length A pendant with an added function - the long textured body unscrews to reveal a sharp pointed sewing awl! The bail doubles as a grip for one's finger in order to use the tool to pierce holes for stitching or embroidery work. A very cool piece I sourced on my recent travels in the Netherlands. This large silver pendant measures 3.5 inches overall drop, weighs 7.25 grams and has Dutch stamps dating it to 1814-1905. Condition is excellent with normal age-related wear.
