Join us at Kindred in Vancouver, WA for a hands-on local workshop where you'll craft your own very own delicious fridge pickles! Pickling doesn't have to be complicated - visions of boiling jars and sealing lids. But refrigerator pickles skip all that: just combine the ingredients and chill. The clean flavor is unmatched. Unlike store brands that are dyed green and loaded with citric acid or sugar, these are all about that pure dill/garlic crunch. And if you check those pickle labels at the store (yikes), you’ll be just as shocked at what’s hiding in there. In this hands-on, make & take workshop, you’ll learn the art of creating pickles from scratch. We provide all the base ingredients—pickles, spices, and brine—along with special additions from our garden, including spicy peppers, vibrant rosemary, and organic garlic. What You’ll Do in This Local Herbalism Class: Chop, Mix, and Infuse: Craft your own jar of pickles with guidance. Taste and Compare: Sample different flavor profiles from previous batches. Customize Your Blend: Bring or suggest your own herbs to personalize your remedy. We will also have lots to choose from! Why Attend?
