Bryceland's x The Anthology 893 Bedford Cord Jeans
Description Drawing from a sample of 70’s Lee Bootcuts, the 893 are a stylised departure from our usual 5-pocket denim; with square hip box, flat seat, and slight ‘kick-flare’ from the mid-calf designed to fall easier over boots without a hitch. Meant to be worn a little tight, but comfortable, the teardrop pockets are set wide apart, a feature designed for horse riding to be more comfortable in the saddle, and adding a flattering cleaner fit across the seat. Our first zip-fly 5-pocket model, in keeping with the period of the original example patterned. The zip is a cotton tape and brass teeth “Universal” from YKK Japan. Though specific to a defined time period, the bootcut are a blank canvas of sorts, and a more directional style which keeps coming round. From the early days of skate culture, and 70s rock & roll, can be modified in ways keeping with the 60s and 70s styling with embroidery and patches of the period which can give them a point of difference, and the feel of Woodstock and the end of the summer of love.
