She was piecing together threads of an ancient tale to make sense of happenstance and pull herself together out of a tunnel in time, back onto thin line of a measured peace she remembered from long ago. Her presence to his existence had been everything and she wondered if he ever even knew it. Could he hear her call that had become so faint? Her body was tired; her spirit too. Yet, she felt long held wisdom coming back and knew, one day soon, she would take flight and, whatever it took, make her way to him. On some hill, far away, she could see them and they were happy. Even the angel and her dragon blue were swept up in some triumphant reverie. Yet, the two stood together quietly, at peace, love restored, but something more—not a fixed symbol in time or gathering up of miracles, but a reverence of and witness to eternal love.
