France Alsace Grape variety: Riesling Slightly gradual southeast facing slope adjacent to Kastelberg. Rare pink (oxidized) sandstone with clay underlay. Sandstone provides strong acids. A classic maker boasting a history of over 300 years, but avant-garde, such as etiquette that changes every year, the introduction of biodynamics, and advancement to the Rhone. We are also challenging long-term maceration and amphora. You can feel the overwhelming strength of the grapes in the Grand Cru field. The sweetness of the fruit is felt, and the volume is moderate, but the volatile acid balances the overall balance.
