Fabrics often have some wear and signs of use that we try to disguise or integrate as best as possible. This means that some pieces require a lot of work in terms of sanitisation and "restoration" of fabrics and embroidery. On Grita's page you won't find gender references. We create our pieces without thinking about who will wear them, because everyone wears what they want. That's also why we don't follow certain sewing conventions (e.g. buttons on the left or right). We do it randomly or on the side that enhances the beauty of the shirt. Since these are old fabrics and especially if they are embroidered, it is very important to follow the washing recommendations. By purchasing a Grita item, you are directly supporting a small independent business.
