It is a purpose-built hybrid instrument that uses Fender's Stringed Instrument Resonance System and a Fishman-designed acoustic engine to give you genuine acoustic tones and genuine electric tones from the same guitar, blended however you want them.The Acoustisonic system works by combining an internal body sensor that captures the acoustic resonance of the guitar with a magnetic neck pickup that captures the string signal the way an electric guitar does. A blend knob lets you mix between the two, and the system gives you ten distinct voice settings that range from a full acoustic sound to a clean electric to various blended tones in between. You can go from strumming acoustic chords to playing electric leads without switching guitars or changing your signal chain.The Jazzmaster body shape gives it a comfortable feel that players who know the platform will recognize immediately.
