Amazing and very sought after grouping from WWI! Everything was found together and is a true time capsule. This set is identified to Private Clarence C. Brinker, serial number 1907515. Pvt. Brinker was a member of Company I of the 327th Infantry Regiment, 82nd Infantry Division. After seeing 3 campaigns in WWI in which he was wounded he would come home and only live to be 62 years old, his landlord was in a dispute about money with Pvt. Brinker and would go on to shoot and kill him. The group consists of a fantastic U.S. made M1917 helmet, service tunic with an amazing 82nd Infantry sleeve patch, campaign medal with 3 clasps, side cap, pants, undershirt, regimental marked mess kit, gas mask set, leg wraps, and a stack of paperwork and research including copies of all of his draft and discharge paperwork. These items are all in above average condition considering they’re over 100 years old, on a mannequin this would be the perfect centerpiece for any collectors display, if you wanted to add an untouched grouping to a true combat veteran of WWI look no further!
