American Ornithological Society 2026 Conference Hat

The American Ornithological Society annual conference for 2026 will be held in Amherst, Massachusetts. This year’s theme, “Hope is the Thing with Feathers,” is inspired by the poem by Emily Dickinson. The official conference hat was created through a collaboration between American Ornithological Society and Bird Collective. AOS 2026 logo on this hat features a Black-capped Chickadee (Poecile atricapillus), an American Woodcock (Scolopax minor), and a Prairie Warbler (Setophaga discolor)—species that reflect the avian diversity of Amherst, Massachusetts.
