The work is part of a wider feminist series, through which I explore the space of feminine expression and being, which again feels very cramped. As a means of expression, I use the iconic red lips to express disgust, lust or, for example, self-confidence. The work is tufted on strong polyester fabric with acrylic threads. The threads are attached to the fabric and the piece to the plywood with non-toxic glues. The work does not contain raw materials of animal origin. The work is attached to 4mm thick Finnish birch plywood. The hanging hooks are attached to the plywood background.
