Why did we create this pack? This pack was developed for anyone who wants to start with laser cutting and engraving, or simply wants to discover which materials best suit their machine. Whether you have a CO₂ laser or a diode laser: all materials in this pack have been tested and are suitable for both machine types. We deliberately chose a wide mix of material types, from classic wood and MDF to acrylic, foam, and felt. So you immediately get a realistic picture of the possibilities. Our goal? A practical and educational pack that helps you discover what your machine can do. With this diverse selection, you can experiment freely, learn the properties of different materials, and quickly find your favorites. Whether you're starting for the first time, have a new machine, or just want to explore, this pack gives you everything you need to get started with confidence, beyond standard plywood. Which materials are in the sample pack? Birch plywood (0.5 mm and 3 mm): a versatile wood type with a fine grain and light color. The thin 0.5 mm variant is perfect for detailed work; the 3 mm sheet for sturdier constructions. Lime plywood: light wood in color and weight. Because lime has such a light structure, a laser beam passes through it more easily. Popular for model building and decorations. MDF: due to its homogeneous sheet structure, the laser beam passes through it evenly, without the irregularity of knots. MDF is easy to post-process and suitable for engraving and cutting. Bamboo plywood: unique as a plywood type, because bamboo is strong but normally brittle along the long side of the grain. The cross-bonding makes this bamboo strong in both directions. The beautiful grain makes it very popular for decorative applications. Walnut MDF core: the warm, dark wood look of walnut with the stability of an MDF core. Ideal for high-quality finishes and nameplates. Opaque glossy red acrylic: clear, glossy color. Surprisingly, even a diode laser can cut through this material with the right settings. Red light is on the other side of the blue diode beam's spectrum. Engraving plate ABS in gold: built from two contrasting layers, so you can create sharp, neat finished products directly with engraving: such as nameplates or labels. PE hard foam: a sturdy type of foam that is surprisingly easy to cut. For example, make a custom tool inlay for your case. PET felt in green and blue: soft, colorful, and unique in texture. PET felt is excellent for creative projects such as coasters, decorative objects, and acoustic panels. Laserboard: thin, strong, flexible, and with an exceptionally high level of detail. This resin-soaked cardboard is very good for laser processing. In our opinion, it is still too little known among laser cutters. The cutting edges produce almost no soot, ideal for fine card work, stencils, and model building. With this versatile selection, you can discover all the possibilities of your laser.
