40 in. Woodstocks Capiz Waterfall Chime

Thin, translucent capiz shells, farmed in Indonesia and sorted, dried, sliced, shaped, sanded, and dyed by hand, catch the light the way stained glass does, casting soft color across whatever surface they fall on. The shells have been used decoratively since the 1500s, when they served as windowpanes in tropical homes, and their luminous quality translates beautifully to a chime that works just as well indoors as it does on a covered porch. Hang it where the light finds it, and the visual effect is nearly as compelling as the sound. Because each piece is handcrafted in Bali, dimensions vary slightly.
