Unbound, Unfinished, Unheard Of: a collaborative Research Project in the archive at 56a Infoshop documents the collective research produced by a small group of people between April and July 2026. The group spent 8 weeks conducting research in the archive at 56a Infoshop, a radical social centre in Elephant & Castle, London (https://56a.org.uk). During the initial stages of the project, the group consulted material related to the Peace Movement in the UK since the Cold War; housing rights campaigning across London; material on feminist organising including the Wages for Housework Movement, the Reclaim the Nights Movement and a selection of material produced around LGBTQ+ struggles. Together with showcasing creative responses to the archive, the publication includes writing, recorded conversations, and a set of references and prompts to conduct collaborative research. The project seeks to answers the following questions: How can the archive be explored collectively? How can we situate the archive at the centre of a collaborative research process? Contributors: Clara Robson, Guglielmo Rossi, Imola Tantrum, Rebecca Accorsi, Kiniec Rzeszotarska.
