D40-5179; 1943 Dress 10-piece hand-drafted pattern originally by McCall, the flattering, form-fitting top is another take on the shirtwaist style with or without a collar. The top has long, 3/4 (bracelet length) or short sleeves. The pleated skirt takes the appearance of a separate, but is actually an unusual dropped style for the 40s stitched to the top making for a comfy one-piece dress. Border-print fabrics are well accommodated with this style! Size: Size 16 fits 34" bust, 28" waist, 37" hip. 1/2" seams are given. PATTERN NOT IN YOUR SIZE?
