Intro & New Features The Catalyst 7X6 Blocker features many key pieces that make it a solid and reliable blocker for goalies. It has JenPro material which keeps the blocker's shape for longer, a Nash palm which provides durability and comfort, and many high-end features that make this blocker a solid option for goalies. External Material TRUE continues to use traditional JenPro material on the outer construction of this blocker. This durable material provides the blocker with a reliable and solid outer build and it helps keep the shape for longer. JenPro is a trusted material and is found on nearly all of TRUE’s goalie equipment because of its reliability, appearance, and overall performance that it provides. Internal Foams The blocker is designed with a variety of high-density foams to keep goalies hands protected. Inside the catcher, TRUE added a series of high-density foams that feature impact absorbing properties, which is designed to disperse heavy impacts away, and keep the hand protected at all times. Palm Material This blocker features a Nash palm material. This material is a durable and reliable material that provides goalies with high-level protection but also top-tier comfort as well. Its design has been improved to last longer, keeping the blocker intact for longer periods of time. Additionally, its grip helps goalies hold their sticks and focus on that next save. Finger Protection The fingers are protected with a straight finger design. Straight finger protection on a goalie blocker provides a rigid, non-tapered design along the index finger that eliminates gaps and prevents fingers from being jammed or hyperextended by direct impact from pucks. By running parallel to the sidewall, the design ensures hard puck impacts are distributed evenly across the protective material rather than buckling inward. Cuff Design The 7X6 blocker is designed with a half cuff, which promotes wrist mobility. The half cuff allows the goalie to angle, rotate, and drop their wrist freely without it being into their arm pads. It provides a better seal to the ice when the goalie goes into a paddle-down stance, allowing for tighter control of the stick, and because it’s more open, it ensures a smoother flow and less binding. Blocker Board The straight blocker board is a traditional, flat design on blockers. It offers a larger visible blocking surface and highly predictable, flat rebounds. This board type contrasts with angled or curved blockers, which goalies typically use to generate faster, higher-trajectory rebounds into the corners. Hand Protection This blocker is equipped with a 615 blocking board. This sidewall design, combined with a more aggressive angle, makes redirecting pucks easier and more accurate. The sidewall also features a series of high-density foams that are designed to keep the hand protected from impacts. Strapping The 7X6 blocker is designed with a nylon strap that features a velcro attachment. The integration of this strapping system allows the goalie to tighten the strap to a fit that is tailored to their desire, and then attach it to the velcro landing to hold the fit in place while they make saves.
