The Environs of Lincoln's Inn Fields circa 1799
Handmade in Buckinghamshire in the family-run workshop of craftsman and map expert Phillip Burrough, these maps are printed with pigment ink on archival paper and are hand-laid onto cloth using glue made to a traditional recipe. This reproduction is taken from the original antique engraving and is laid on high-quality cloth and beautifully presented in an antique marbled slip case. Please note that it is not possible to select which marbled slip case your map will arrive in. Folding maps came into being in the mid-18th century when the extending system of properly maintained turnpike roads made long-distance travel easier. Material: 100% Natural Cotton Cloth
