Today’s watercolour landscape subject was suggested by one of our members, Christine, who requested a tutorial on Ladybower reservoir in the Peak District, in Derbyshire. Despite being a man-made lake, I think it sits beautifully in the varied surrounding landscape and presents us with an excellent composition. The view I have chosen does make for quite a busy scene, with lots of challenges along the way, like the distant meadows and woodlands, and the reflections in the water. Something to really get stuck into and very rewarding. Happy Painting, Geoff.
