Elly Griffiths - Crime Across the Centuries, RMT243E

Elly Griffiths and three very different cases. A cold case team slips back to Victorian London, unlikely sleuths go undercover at a writers’ retreat, and a policeman and a magician team up in 1950s Brighton. Start with her newest series, then sample the older ones. Murder, beautifully told. Elly Griffiths, The Frozen People - A cold case detective whose team can slip into the past is sent to Victorian London and finds herself stranded. A lively, atmospheric start to a new series. Elly Griffiths, The Last Word - An 84-year-old surveillance expert goes undercover at a remote writers’ retreat, where murder follows the guests. A clever, cosy mystery for anyone who reads for pleasure. Elly Griffiths, Smoke and Mirrors - Brighton, 1951: a detective and a stage magician investigate two missing children, with a Christmas pantomime as the backdrop. Dark but witty, and cleverly plotted.
