Stanton Wool Herringbone Tweed Sportcoat

The best sport coats are the ones you don’t have to think too much about. Throw one over an Oxford shirt and denim, wear it with chinos and a T-shirt, or pair it with a wider utility pant. Somehow, everything looks a little more considered without feeling particularly dressed up. That’s what we wanted from the Stanton. It’s a proper fall sport coat, but we softened the traditional silhouette with an unstructured construction and relaxed Italian shoulder. The result has all the character of the old herringbone jackets that inspired it, without feeling like something pulled from a professor’s closet. For the cloth, we turned to Fox Brothers® and a beautiful black and ecru wool herringbone. The English heritage of the fabric gives the Stanton its depth and texture, while the relaxed construction keeps it easy to wear. It’s equally at home in town or country and only gets better when you stop treating it like a special occasion jacket.
