The Old Particular The Chairman’s Choice Laphroaig 20 years old is an Islay single malt from the Laphroaig distillery bottled in the Old Particular The Chairman’s Choice series by the independent bottler Douglas Laing. This Laphroaig was personally selected by Fred Laing and matured in a refill hogshead. It got bottled in 2026 at 48,4% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited edition single cask release of 420 bottles. Official tasting notes: Nose: Medicinal smoke, salt air and layers of deep, smouldering peat. Palate: A subtle mix of barley sugar, creosote, soot and soft tar. Finish: Tastefully discreet phenols & smoke.
