Rolex GMT Master II 16710 "Coke" (1998)

The Rolex GMT-Master II Ref. 16710 is an icon of the brand’s professional collection, with the red and black “Coke” bezel among its most recognisable and sought-after configurations. Produced during the celebrated five-digit era, the Coke remains particularly desirable among collectors for its classic proportions, aluminium bezel and unmistakable GMT aesthetic. This example features a 40mm Oystersteel case with a black dial, applied 18ct white gold hour markers and red GMT hand. Its bidirectional 24-hour bezel carries the signature red and black aluminium insert, allowing multiple time zones to be tracked, while a sapphire crystal and Oyster bracelet complete the classic sports Rolex design. Water resistance was originally rated to 100 metres. Powering the watch is the Rolex calibre 3185 automatic GMT movement, offering an approximately 50-hour power reserve.
