Beginner Crochet - September

This listing is for a two session Beginner Crochet Course. The classes will be held in person at Bistitchual on Sunday September 20th and 27th from 4:00pm-5:30pm Learn the fundamentals of crochet in this two part class. We will be covering chaining and single crochet, as well as double and half-double crochets. Don’t know what any of that means? Great, you’re in the right place! We’ll provide all the materials, including a simple pattern that teaches you common terms and instructions you’ll encounter in most crochet projects. We will also discuss how to choose the appropriate yarn and hook for a project as well as where you can take your crafting after you master these basic techniques. There’s a lot to learn, and we’re excited to accompany your beginning in the wonderful craft of crochet! Materials are included! 50g ball of worsted weight cotton in your choice of colour 6mm crochet hook Our class size is capped at 4 people, so everyone can receive the attention they need. Mike will share lots of tips and techniques to get you well on your way. About the instructor: Tired of disposing of clothes that were still perfectly wearable, Mike (he/him) started crafting mainly as a means of mending and repair. This led him to knitting (and later crochet), which pretty much immediately became one of his favourite tools of self-expression. Please note that classes will only proceed if we have a minimum of two attendees. If the minimum is not met, there will be the option for a refund or to reschedule. There will be a four person maximum for each class. Please pre-book your spot to let us know you are coming! Cancellation Policy Classes must be paid for at the time of registration to reserve your spot. If cancelled 48 hrs or more prior to the start of the first class will be given a store credit. Classes cancelled less than 48 hrs prior to the start of the class will not be reimbursed.
