In The Blink Of An Eye by Ray Benson and Mark Copland Format: 12" Vinyl LP Crossing the threshold from cousins to collaborators, Ray Benson and Marc Copland are making their musical debut as a duo on "In The Blink Of An Eye." Following decades forging their own musical careers - Benson having led Grammy award-winning Western Swing band Asleep at the Wheel and Copland an accomplished modern jazz pianist with over 40 albums - the pair have come together to record a collection of jazz interpretations spanning from the standards to Hank Williams, Willie Nelson and a couple originals. Seasoned pros with a mutual admiration for the material, the sessions were all "eye contact and feeling the modas operandi". A free-flowing affair, the tracking was done at Benson's Bismeaux Barn studio with no charts, no set arrangements and all live performances.
