The Sailor 1911S Blue Fountain Pen is the compact expression of Sailor’s classic 1911 profile, finished in deep blue resin with gold-tone trim. Its rounded cigar-shaped form is one of the brand’s most recognizable designs and offers a lighter, more compact alternative to the full-size 1911. Craftsmanship & Design Made in Japan, the 1911S uses a PMMA resin body and cap with gold-tone appointments. The proportions are compact without feeling insubstantial, and the threaded cap keeps the presentation traditional. Writing Experience This example is fitted with a 14k gold Medium nib. Sailor’s 14k nibs are known for their controlled feel and characteristic tactile feedback. The pen fills from Sailor cartridges or a compatible converter.
