Four Vintage Ercol Model 391 Dining Chairs 1809b

A beautifully designed and crafted set of four Ercol Model 391 stick back chairs, designed by Lucian Ercolani in the 1950s. With their elegant proportions and distinctive silhouette, they’re a lovely example of classic British mid-century design. Crafted from solid English elm and beech, the chairs feature beautifully figured elm seats paired with slender beech frames. The real design feature is the distinctive triple stick back, with three elegant spindles extending below the seat to meet a horizontal support rail — a simple but striking detail that gives the chairs their unmistakable character. Beautifully proportioned and lightweight in appearance, they have all the craftsmanship and understated simplicity that makes original Ercol furniture so enduringly popular. Their timeless design works effortlessly around both vintage and contemporary dining tables. Carefully restored in our workshop and presented in excellent condition, with just a few minor polished-in marks and gentle signs of age remaining, all part of their authentic vintage character.
