Offcut Lamp
With simplicity at its core, the Offcut Lamp draws from its surroundings to diffuse and radiate light. This handcrafted piece sits comfortably in diverse settings. An understated design which intends to maintain integrity with its space. We pay homage to the natural variation and unpredictability of timber by placing it as the face of the design. At NACO, we reduce waste by using natural materials in small quantities. However, this does not prevent us from being left with too-small-to-use sized offcuts. In order to fully appreciate our material assets and minimise offcut waste, we developed a product which not only uses these remnants, but creates a new life for what would otherwise become wood chippings.
